Ear2Hear (E2H) came to PositiveEdge with only a business idea
in hand. We had built businesses from ideas before, but the complexity
of this one was nearly overwhelming. E2H had a vision of creating
the ultimate online environment. Ear2Hear is to be an Entertainment
Network Portal that delivers streaming media and a wealth of content
for every viewer. This cutting edge internet environment hosts a
myriad of channels, each with various programs, and every program
with numerous episodes and events. E2H needed us not only to build
the initial website interface, but develop brand logos for channels
and programs, create a revenue platform, develop sales and marketing
materials, and produce the first of several comedy shows for web
casting and promoting sales to television at NATPE 2008. PositiveEdge
also had to rebuild the site interface in hi-res graphics to accommodate
a 20’ exhibit structure that doubled as a backdrop for a press
conference event. All of these objectives had to be achieved within
a highly compressed timeframe….two and half months!

Achieved
While our developers were creating the Phase 1 site architecture,
the PositiveEdge creative team began the development of the interface,
tagline and more than 20 unique logos for Ear2Hear and the initial
sub-brands. The marketing team worked with E2H to develop multiple
revenue streams and the supporting marketing collateral that will
help launch the brand and create immediate revenues. This multi-tiered
revenue model includes consumer subscriptions, embedded video advertising
and dynamic banner ads at the page, channel and episode levels.
PositiveEdge also provided complete media production services for
shooting the first seven episodes of the client’s debut television
program. This included set design, HD cameras, crews, hair and make-up
stylists, on-camera and voice talent, lighting and audio equipment.
We had to staff the client with a full-time Final Cut Pro Editor
and Macintosh hardware to support E2H with on-site video editing
services, in order to complete all of the shows and promotional
spots on time and to the client’s satisfaction.

Results
Accomplished
“Where Infinity Begins”, the Ear2her.com tagline, says
it all. While this project literally has no end, the current integrated
program delivered to date provides a highly creative and intuitively
designed portal product that achieves the look, feel and image of
a “big brand”. Successful “in-house” programming
has opened the doors for the licensing of outside content, and advertising
sales are supporting the launch of the portal, further development
of the site and production of more programming. In the first demographic
test markets consumer and advertiser survey feedback is reflecting
